Meet Dr. Aparna Baheti MD, RPVI, DABVLM, FSVM
Dr. Aparna “Ally” Baheti is an interventional radiologist specializing in vascular and interventional radiology. She has practiced since 2019 with a particular emphasis on minimally invasive vascular and musculoskeletal interventions.
An early adopter of novel embolic procedures, she has extensive experience in Musculoskeletal (MSK) embolization to treat chronic pain conditions, such as knee osteoarthritis (OA), frozen shoulder (adhesive capsulitis), and tendinopathies, including tennis elbow, plantar fasciitis, and jumper’s knee. These procedures target abnormal micro vessels that drive inflammation, helping to manage symptoms and improve function.
After graduating with an undergraduate degree in Neuroscience from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Dr. Baheti earned her medical degree (MD), and completed a Diagnostic Radiology residency and a fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology, also at the University of Virginia. She received the Global Health Leadership award during her training.
After completing her medical education, she worked in private practice at a radiology group in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, for a year. She has lived in Tacoma since 2020, and was the only independent interventional radiologist in the Puget Sound in 2022.
Due to her unique experience and training, Dr. Baheti has been able to offer new, minimally invasive therapies for a variety of conditions, including uterine fibroids, enlarged prostate, knee pain, and peripheral arterial disease (PAD), among others. She is passionate about expanding patient access to modern vascular medicine and believes patients deserve choice and clarity about treatment options.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Baheti is co-host of The BackTable Podcast, a popular medical podcast focused on endovascular and interventional topics. In 2025 she was honored as one of the South Sound Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 emerging leaders.
